| Why can't I see the entire screen? |
top |
You might not be able
to see the entire screen because your monitor's screen resolution
may need to be changed to a higher setting. (Resolution, which is
measured in pixels, is the width and height of your screen's display.)
The resolution should be changed to 800 x 600 or greater. Most Web
sites cannot be properly displayed at low resolutions, like 640
x 480, for example.
| How do I change my monitor's resolution? |
top |
You can change your
monitor's resolution on most Windows and Mac OS computers. Just
following these steps: For Windows:
- Go to the Start menu at the lower left of
your screen
- Select Settings and then Control Panel
- Open the Display application
- Choose the Settings tab at the top of the
window
- In the Desktop Area section, reset your monitor's
display to 800 x 600 or greater
- Click OK
For Macintosh:
- Click on the Apple icon at the upper left
of your screen
- Select Control Panels/Monitors and Sound from
the pull-down list
- In the Resolution section, reset your monitor's
display to 800 x 600 or greater
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
| What is Baseops' privacy policy? |
top |
The privacy and confidentiality
of your information is very important to us. Baseops does not disclose
your personal information to any third parties unless authorized
by you, including if necessary to process your customer application,
or required to do so by law. As detailed below, we safeguard, according
to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information
you share with us. For additional information about our privacy
policies, please see the Privacy Statement posted on our Web site
or contact us (see "How do I contact Baseops?"
below).
| What security measures has Baseops taken to
secure my information and my transmissions via the Baseops site? |
top |
Baseops maintains multiple
security measures, physical, electronic and procedural, to store
and secure information about you from unauthorized access. For example,
confidential information on our Web site is fully secured by password
protection, and information transmitted over the Site is encrypted
using industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. In
addition, Baseops does not release any of your information to any
third party without your prior authorization or as may be required
by law.
Baseops uses industry
standard encryption methods for data transmitted via our Web site.
Encryption technology helps secure the transmission of information
via the Internet by encoding, or scrambling, the transmitted data,
which translates data into hard to decipher code. Without a corresponding
decoder, the transmission would look like nonsense text and be unusable.
The decoder enables the data to be translated back into meaningful
communication.
| How do I know my information and transmissions
are secure? |
top |
Our Web site uses frames.
The graphical header across the top of your screen is one frame,
and the left navigation bar is another screen. The main portion
of the site appears in the remaining frame. Frames that display
general information about the site, such as the header and the left
navigation bar, are not encrypted. However, any screen that displays
or requests information about your account, username and/or password,
application and other sensitive information is encrypted. Because
our site uses frames, you may not see the gold lock symbol in the
status bar or your browser. The secure pages are indicated by a
gold lock in the upper right corner of each secured page. To view
our secure page information and SSL certificates, you should right
click in the page area and select "Properties".
