At Baseops, our job is not complete until your aircraft
is safely on the ground at your final destination. Baseops' weather
department is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year by experienced
meteorologists that provide you with weather reports, forecasts
and other relevant information to help plan your trips. From departure
to arrival, our weather department carefully and constantly monitors
weather conditions along your route and will update your crew with
relevant information that could affect your trip. We provide a wide
array of weather services, including:
Full-text
briefs with graphics
A detailed analysis of your route of flight, including terminal
forecasts, latest observations, sigmets, pireps, airmets and graphical
weather charts, such as significant weather, wind chart and radar
summaries.
Verbal
briefs
Our 24-hour staff of meteorologists make it very convenient for
your crew to get a complete view of the weather at any time. Whether
domestic or international, current weather or an outlook, our staff
can quickly provide your crew with the answers they need over the
telephone.
Weather
outlooks
A pre-planning weather package providing you with information critical
to you trip planning, such as possible destinations and tech stops.
This brief, which is provided to you one to three days before your
trip, will help eliminate weather-related surprises that could impact
your operations.
Climatological
data
Customers can receive historical weather data for hundreds of locations
worldwide. We can obtain statistical information for any given month
that depicts many weather occurrences, such as the average high
and low temperature readings for the month, the average precipitation
historically and the types of precipitation historically experienced
for that month. This information can help you to plan far in advance
for things like, the type of clothes to pack or whether to plan
for indoor as opposed to outdoor activities.
Met
watching
At Baseops, your flight is not complete until the aircraft is safely
on the ground. With our Met watching procedures, no flight goes
unwatched. Our meteorologists stay on top of your operations and
watch for potential weather problems that may develop during your
flight. With Baseops, you can feel secure that if the weather turns
bad, our staff will be in touch with you and keep you informed of
relevant developments and rapidly changing conditions.
Weather
updates
Weather updates are sent to the pilot, as needed, and provide up-to-the-minute
weather developments. All updates include the latest terminals,
observations, sigmets, pireps, airmets and any new graphical charts
that are relevant.
Passenger
weather briefs
With each weather packet that Baseops delivers, we provide customers
with a complimentary weather outlook for the passengers' final destination.
Each brief contains a short description of the day-to-day weather,
including high and low temperatures, and a simple graphic depicting
each daily forecast. Now your passengers will know what to expect
for their trip without even asking.
Tropical
weather graphics
Our 24-hour meteorology staff is constantly keeping an eye on the
warm ocean waters across the world during the tropical season. Wherever
your operations may take you, Baseops will help to plan your trip
by avoiding any tropical activity that could be a problem. Our staff
can send you plotted forecasts in advance of your trip showing the
current initial position, strength and direction, along with the
future track of an individual storm. On the day of operations, you
will receive the tropical graphics and text data related to your
flight, giving you the full picture and the peace of mind about
the situation.
